    So when will Mille Lacs hit Ice out?

    Last year I was the lucky winner (April 20)…still waiting for my prize in the mail

    Haywood, normally, it gets to where you think about an extension for your auger, if your drilling new holes. My guess, April 4.

    Here’s some average ice out dates for lakes across the state. ICE OUT Taking that info into consideration…I say April 8th.

    I’ll pick April 14th………I do hope we get some cold weather soon! I plan on fishing perch February and all of March!!!

    I’m not going to make a prediction till we see what kind of weather we have this month, but I hope we have solid ice on the pond till the day before opener just to keep the gill nets out of it.

    I have heard alot of people saying just that!! If we do have an early ice out….all it does, is let our natives have the run of the lake.
