    Haywood, normally, it gets to where you think about an extension for your auger, if your drilling new holes. My guess, April 4.

    I’m not going to make a prediction till we see what kind of weather we have this month, but I hope we have solid ice on the pond till the day before opener just to keep the gill nets out of it.

    I have heard alot of people saying just that!! If we do have an early ice out….all it does, is let our natives have the run of the lake.
