Mille Lacs GTG…What not to do!!!!

    1. Drink too much Beer on Friday night.
    2. Drink too much Captain Morgan on Saturday night.
    3. Get truck stuck on a snow bank.
    4. Break door handle on truck.
    5. Lose your coat.
    6. Forget the minnows.
    7. Talking too much from items 1 and 2.
    8. Talking too loud from items 1 and 2.

From personal experience I would not suggest doing items 1 through 8.
I apologize for anyone who had to deal with items 7 and 8.
Thanks to George from Hunter’s Point for helping me get un-stuck from item 3.

Through all this it was a very fun weekend. I got to meet tons of great people and listen to many great stories.

Thanks to everyone who organized this event and put it on. I can’t wait till next year!!!

At least you weren’t the guy who left Hunter’s on Saturday night so drunk he could barely walk. Then we watched as he tried for 10 minutes to put his helmet on and make it out the door Then when we left the bar to head back to the shack, guess what was plowed into a snow bank with a broken windshield and messed up handlebars? You guessed it, a snowmobile with a very intoxicated driver

P.S. Luckilu he was not part of the IDA group

#10. Don’t go around and mess with semi sleeping fishermen by reaching in door, and spinning rattle wheels with Kooty.

Sorry Tuck. I must have thought it was a good idea at the time. Good thing you didn’t have the buzzer boxes like we have in the big house.

I was going to ask ”who” would do something like that but I guess the reply below your post answered that. Josh, Josh, Josh, what are we going to do with you? You are a chip off the old mans block so to speak.

    Thanks, Bill

ps. no excuse for Kotty though.

Didn’t you guys feed this poor guy while you guys were up there? Or is this a change of behavior result from a knock on the head from his boat accident?

    Lets see…

Number 1, yup, nailed that one.

Possibly number 7, still a little foggy though.

Kooty, I could get in real trouble with you. Enough said.

Buckshot, nice pants man, you’re a hoot.

That clown from Hunters on Sat night that AM was referring to… We drove up and down the shoreline after we saw the sled piled up on the side of the road to see if he was alright. Never did find him.

Man that was fun. When is the next one?

I second the buckshot comments, man that guy is rotten inside, dead stuff don’t smell that bad!

Hooks? Was it true that men 60 feet away were gagging and trying to open windows?

Might need to bottle some of that for cat bait…anyone up to collecting some for me?

It was payback for de-pantsing me…..you all had it comin.

Just wish I could have fired that one as Gator was going in for the de-pantsing….we would have needed the EMTs for him.

You all should have seen the chick in the Budweiser jacket in the booth by the window…her eyes got all glassy….I thought for sure she was done for.

I don’t think we were any different than any other weekend. We just were outdone by some high performance professionals.

You guys are killing me here. This past weekend was one of the only weekends I’ve missed up there in a long time and by the way it sounds it was one of the best. At least I get to pass the time at work reading the stories. Anyone going to be at Hunter’s this weekend?

It wasn’t the shoes he tried to flush. I actually missed him violating Crossin-eye’s shoes…more just the toe of the shoes….Chappy’s rod bucket(with 3-4 rods in it) and Clarence’s softsided cooler took the brunt of that one.
I did however wake up to “running water” and here is Kooty using one of the holes…I figured that was better than the alternative…..he did however attempt flushing a rattle wheel….either that or he was reaching to check the minnow…..I will let all of you decide that one on your own.

Stickboy learned the hard way a couple years ago in Ortonville and I learned from that….my shoes were under the table….Stick’s were ON the table.
