Hi guys, just wanted to report on a trip to the flats yesterday. We started out of Castaways because they said they had good roads, well that wasn’t the case so we ended up driving out of Hunters Point. To be honest I think their roads to the flats leave a little to be desired but oh well. Most of our fish came on a plain hook and bobber in 31fow at the base of the flat. I would watch the fish bump the spoon on my Vex and immediately grab the set line, very light bites. It was a great day to be on the pond, the ice was in great shape once you got out there. Biggest was 26 with a few 25’s and 3 keepers and about a dozen jumbos. Sure wish I could make the GTG this weekend but I’m heading back to Red and then on to LOTW 
In case anybody is interested Liberty Beach had a great road going to the flats. Good Luck this weekend, I hope to see some pics when I get back!!
