I fished North Center lake up by the Chisago area. I was in 15 feet of water and caught some good sized gills and papermouths. The crappies were suspended mostly 8-10 feet down in the water. They were pretty agressive and you had to keep moving after catching a few to stay with the school. Luckily they did not move to far. I used waxies on small jig to catch all the fish. I fished from 8:30-10:30 am, so the crappies are still biting during the day if you find them.
