Mille Lacs/Hunters Point access open 1-13-06

    The lake access is open at Hunters Point Resort On the eastside of Mille Lacs Lake. George has some new bridging in place over the crack/problem area just off shore. He has posted a 10 mph speed limit on the ice. It is very important to maintain a slow speed to prevent any more damage to the cracks that are starting to heal.

    The forecast for this area, calls for teen’s in the over night hours!! That’s an improvement from the past week.

    Go slow on the ice and be safe!!

    They may have closed it….but I was not aware of it beinging shut down. It was a busy day on the ice yesterday! I just called down this morning and the road is open and all is a go!
