Just wondering if anybody has fished this or is going to fish it?? I think it is the same day as the mille lacs GTG so I doubt that many IDA’ER’S are going to fish the tournament. Is this worth fishing or is it a waste of time?

I have fish it quite a few times. It is a really good time. Lots and Lots of people having fun.
It is a little over an hour from the tourney to the GTG. So you can do both if you want.

It is a great time, everyone has a chance to win an awesome prize. They payout one hundred fifty places, with prizes based on the biggest fish. Some years even rookies drive home in a new truck. They usually catch lots of fish in this contest. It runs from Noon-3:00 pm. If you guys are going to give it a whirl stop by before you head out. We hand out free contour maps of the contest area and have all the bait and supplies you will need to land the big one. Plus they have parking right accross the road from our shop, it is the closest parking to the contest area.
