Lake Byllsby and Miss Backwaters

    Anyone got any reports on conditions (ice / fishing) for Lake Byllsby. Me (from Rochester) and some buddies (from the cities) are looking for for a meeting place to drop some lines midway between here and the cities…Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Also maybe looking at heading over to Wilcox or Half Moon landing. Anyone been overthere in the last couple days?

    I’ve been out on Byllesby the last 2 weeks. Ice thickness was 6-8″ on the 1st, but last week we had 12″ under the house. Haven’t ventured east of the dakota county beach, but everything west of that is fine for whellers, even saw some small cars (but i’m not daring enough). Fishing had been slow for us, caught a bunch of walleyes but only ~12″, some perch, and a few crappies.
