Is there anyone out there that can help me out? Thinking about heading over to LBD for a long weekend sometime soon, and was just wondering if someone with knowledge about the bay could help me out? Is there a spoon or lure that generally outproduces everything else? What types of structure should I be concentrating on? Just looking for some general info, Thanks.

Hey Walley_dog I am looking into going up in the next 2 weeks if I can. Will only be the 2nd time up on LBD 1st time was not very good only 1 fish in 2 days. It was slow for everyone that weekend from what we heard. People have told me moon phaze has allot to do with it. But I have not been up on LBD enogh to know. Keep us posted when your going if our trips interact maybe we can work together and get on some fish. Good luck!

Here’s a link that may help. Also check with any of the guides for help.

    Welcome to the IDA!
The Bay is pretty iffy right now with lots of slush ans soft spots. A few fools have driven trucks out but I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. The forecast for next Sat is 40s and rain…not good…Everything I have heard is “really slow”..
When the ice is good most jigging spoons and Rapjigs are productive. Its tough to beat a simple tip up set with a lively minnow on as light of line as possible…6 or 8#. You have a good link to the SallMar website and they are right on the Bay. I spend quite a bit of time there in open water but not much on the “hard” water. We need a good cold spell to “harden up” the water.
Please give us a report if you do get out!

Thanks for the info guys. It looks like we might try to head over that way in mid Feb. Hopefully they get some colder temps to make some more ice over there. I will post the results upon returning. Just one more question, does anyone know what mapping chip for my Lowrance H2O has the best detail for LBD. I noticed that Lakemaster has a new card for the Winnebago Chain including Green Bay and LittleBayDenoc and BigBayDenoc. Lakemaster chips are usually the most accurate so this might be my best option.
    Thanks again guys. Rob

I think the G Lakes Gold edition has some good detail. I have the std version on my Lowrance.
