    Today was my first time out on the ice, I fished from 2:15 until 4:15 and ended up bringing home 11 gills ranging in size from 71/2″ to 9″.I threw back that many smaller ones, along with a 6″ crappie that went back.
    I was fishing in 23′ of water but caught all the big ones at 15′. It was a beautiful day to be on the ice.

    Nice job
    By the depths I can almost pinpoint where you were fishing, and you did well
    It may just be my imagination, but I believe the size of the gils in Volga Lake is better this year than it has been.
