Hey, I hope to head down to Clear Lake for some ice fishing shortly after Christmas. I know we’re a couple weeks out, but was wondering if I could get the latest info. It sounds like the snow is causing problems with ice formation in parts of Iowa. Any info for Clear Lake? Anybody getting out and having some success? Thanks in advance.
The ice is deffinetly shakey there have been many warnings by DNR there is some fishing going on by the narrows between small and big lake with some succes on yellows.I would call Dome bait at 641-829-4418 for latest info these ice conditions are not good and could get worse with the wet snow,The most ice I have heard of is 4in and thats not everywhere Good luck and be safe
