This AM on the way to work I noticed that the little Mudd hole just east fo the Cedar River is frozen across. I do not know the thickness yet but I suspect by the weekend we will have 2ish inhes, maybe 3.. We are almost there.

It’s supposed to get pretty cold, I would assume by the weekend it should be walkable. Keep us posted JC, thats usually a decent early ice spot.
I just checked the Ice on the Mudd Hole.
It is only 1.25 thick. This is down from 2 days ago about 1/2 inch. The Snow sure is making this wait awful.

There were 2 guys doen in the hole…. Silly rabits…
I checked again sunday and I am still able to punch a hole in the ice with a long bar…. I am guessing just shy of 2 inches not. With the cold snap we should be SAFE out there next wekend.

Well all, The mudd hole is ready to fish. Thee is a solid 4 inches of ice and has seen a couple guys out on it already.
Anyone that gets out better give up the secrets.
