Park Rapids Ice

    I was on on several lakes near Park Rapids this weekend. One of my favorites had 6 inches of ice on it in a bay that I fish. I walked around some, but someone else had already been out on the ice. The next small lake I checked there was a guy fishing. He had walked the entire length of the lake, right down the middle.

    All the bigger lakes were froze over also. However, most of the bigger lakes only had 1-2 inches of ice. The snow this week is not going to help but they did not get all the rain.

    I would imagine you will see ATV traffic this weekend on the smaller lakes.

    Scott, were the fish biting? We head up every year at the end of May, always like to see reports.
