prior lake

Fished prior lake from 8:30 to 10:15 on saturday. The sunfish were biting pretty darn good. I kept a limit of 8 inchers. The fish were schooled pretty thick in 16 feet of water for the first hour. After 9:30 I had to move around a bit to catch fish and the size decreased. After 10:15 I headed to spring lake to find some crappies. Tried a few spots with 20 feet of water and found some decent perch, but no crappies. Quit fishing at noon. Note: the drive on areas are going to get weak soon with all the salt people are bringing in from the roads and the warmer temps and sun today. By the island on the north end of Prior there was open water on east side of the island, don’t drive close to the islands.
