Did anyone else see the bit on KARE11 tonight about the two guys out ice fishing with the new Jiffy auger that wouldn’t start. I’m a big Strikemaster guy so I laughed out loud of course. I’m sure the jiffy reps in the area loved that little bit.

You mean they didn’t edit it out? You would think they’d at least have started the auger before the shoot… let it warm up so it would start first pull. And have a spare waiting in the wings.

I think the news crew followed two guys walking out on Phalen. They setup their Clam 2000, attempted to start the auger, of course logo showing. They just shrugged off that a new auger wouldn’t start and crawled in the shack, no holes. I’m not sure they were the smartest ice fisherman in the state. It was a piece on the bitter cold coming. I’m not knocking jiffy, but it was rather humorous to a Strikemaster fan.

As much crap I say about my Jiffy 3 horse…I have to say is started on the 3 pull today…wasn’t running right…until I realized I forgot to turn the choke off…

Ran darn good for -20. It almost made me proud!

    Thats good
I’ll put my 12 year old Jiffy model 30 up against any of that plastic stuff they use now a days.
