What Lake exactly is this on? The one right across from smitty’s? Do you have any idea what Smitty’s number is? What are the prizes for each fish category?

Sorry, I don’t know alot about the contest, but it must be on Lake Menomin right in Menomonie. I have’nt heard how the fishing has been lately, I’m guessing not to good, but we’ll see what happens. I’ll see if I can find some more out and post again.

I plan on being there drilling holes on the ice somewhere away from the crowds. Usually the drawing prizes are better than the actual fish catching prizes. The tickets are only 2 bucks each and the proceeds go to the Dunn County Fish and Game. So a good time to be had and a good cause for cheap. I think I may just have to win the $500.00 drawing. The contest is on the lake Menomn and the fishing wasn’t too good last Sunday afternoon. That’s the last time I was out Steve

I saw yesterday there is a contest on Saturday February 19th on Prairie Lake in Chetec. I think it also includes Chetec and Pokegema lakes as well. The contest is a benefit for the hunters killed last season, and also boasts $15,000 in prizes. It is for a good cause, on good lakes, with good prizes. Can’t go wrong IMO. Anyone with more info, please post it.

Thanks Riveratt for the details on the contest. I heard something about it today on the radio. Here’s another couple of contests on Menomin. Saturday the 19th and Tuesday the 22nd of February. These two contests are being put on by the Wal-Mart distrabution center and are going to be held out of the Dunn County Fish and Game Clubhouse. All the proceeds of these two contests are going to the CHILDRENS MIRACLE NETWORK. I’ve fished these contests in the past and had a great time. Contests start at 8:00 AM and ends at noon. Registration is between the hours of 7:30 and 10:00 am the morning of the contest.. A $30.00 donation will get you in the contest some food and a chance at a door prize. They usually have some nice prizes for their drawings and it’s for a great cause. Any questions just ask. Steve
