Frontenac and Lake Zumbro Ice Conditions

    Hey guys. Anybody know the ice thicknesses of Frontenac Pond and Lake Zumbro? Are they safe to drive on yet? Thanks

    I haven’t been on Frontenac Pond myself, but as I drove by this past Sunday there were vehicles and quite a few permanent shacks out there.

    There are a few driving out on Lake Zumbro – the ice is about 12 inches.

    From what I have heard don’t drive on the ice yet above Ryans Bay area going towards Fishermans Inn on Lake Zumbro. And ewspecially between Fishermans Inn and Sandy Point. Best places to fish right now on Zumbro are across from Ryans Bay and across from Ponderosa Supper Club. You will probably still see shacks there.

    So Bill, you are saying it’s ok to drive on the ice from ponderosa landing to Ryan’s Bay but still use caution?
