Trempeleau area report

I was on the river today looking for some eyes and I figured since we were here might as well check the ice on the lakes. Bingo, ice and lots of it Third lake had several people tip up fishing and the ice was 2-4 inches thick. It was nice and clear and very hard . There is thinner ice to the left of the ramp where the channel runs through, but other than that it was walkable. As always, check ahead while you are walking and things should be good. We don’t know how they faired as far as catching fish, but I bet they were tickled just to finally be on the ice.
