Anyone used an ice auger from Northern Tool?

    These look like a nice auger. They’re a 49cc 2 hp Tecumseh motor. I’m wondering how they perform.

    Did a little more research. They’re made by Ardisam, the company that makes Eskimo augers. When I look at the pics, it looks like they’re using the exact same auger and bit configuration.

    If you haven’t used one from Northern, how about if you’ve use a 2hp Eskimo? What’s your experience with them? Good review? Poor review?

    double check the design. i think you might be right on the manufacturer. there usually are some products at the stores to look at. i would check on that. it should be made by eskimo. compare the prices and features from the other manufacturers.

    Found out that they are an Eskimo Mako ice auger, they just don’t give that detail on the website. They’re $269 at NT, and I found one today at Gander for $239.
