A friend of mine went to the Vermillion back waters near Red Wing today to ice fish for panfish. The fishing was slow but the ice was a stable 2-2.5 inches. anyone venturing down there must be very careful though as springs and moving water can change conditions rapidly.
I will be checking other nearby waters this weekend and will keep you posted.
I am itching to place a couple tip ups for some pike.
