I’ve been out twice now in the last two days! 2.5-3″ of good clear ice in the Hudson area. Didn’t venture too far from shore, about a 100 yards max. Yesterday’s highlight was a 11.5″ perch-course I had to wade through about 40 2-5″‘ers to get it! Today we had 4 flags in 3 hours, landed 1 27″, had a 29-30″ bite off at the hole and 2 that dropped the bait before we could stick ’em. Pike, they were!
It’s good to be walking on water again!
