Went out yesterday on about 3 inches. Panfish are biting very good. Tip ups were slow. Waxies over minnow were the ticket. Good luck

How about a heads up on which lake? Any help would be awesome.

Pine Lake just north of Baldwin. Drove around yesterday in Southern Polk co and there were a fair number of people out on the smaller lakes fishing. Even saw one group using their power auger already! Most look good. There were a couple guys out on Wappo too.

Any size to those fish? I have pulled a lot of crappies and sunfish out of pine in the winter, but they are always small. I always hear people saying they catch good sized ones though.

Small — You have to sort through 100 fish to find ten that you are willing to keep. Still can be a good time though. Then the people start lowering their standards because that is all they catch there and pretty soon they are going home with 5 inch ‘gills. I’ve seen it too much there.
