    Red Oak? that would put you by the french island spillway…

    Ok, thanks Jeremiah. I guess I’ll just stick around all the other yahoos. The yahoos in question are most likely going to be on top of the only other 20′ hole I can find by the airport on Fisherman’s Road. They are all congregated next to each other for a reason right? So they can talk when the fish aren’t biting .

    There is actually a deep channel that runs from the landing near Schaefers all the way to the spillway. It ranges anywhere from 10-16 feet with a very few places being much deeper than 16 fow. I also would not be going as far as Red Oak Ridge with a vehicle. Actually, I don’t think I have eve seen anyone out there in the winter. Most of the fishing is done around Rosebud Island and spreads out to the runway lights. There is a lot of places to fish in there. You will definitely notice the community holes this time of year.
