A couple weeks ago I thought for sure I was going to get to fish the opener on ice. Well that changed! I had hoped to drive north to find safe ice but it looks like I won’t get the opportunity. Is anyone planning on being able to get on ice for opener this weekend? If so be safe out there!
Seriously, you were looking forward to ice fishing on the opener? you have to be kidding! I live up by walker and my water pipes are still frozen have been since march 2nd. OPEN WATER PLEASE 
There’s a good chance I may be able to fish a trout lake on the ice this opener. Only a few lakes have opened up here so far and the rest will likely be open or unsafe come the 10th, with the exception of a few deep clear lakes.
