Running Ice House Heater While Driving

Always thought of having my heater running on my ice castle when I leave home or when starting to drive out on the lake to get it to warm up quicker once the holes are drilled. I think it takes longer to warm up as it has to heat up all the walls every thing and running the heater on the way out would help, but wasn’t sure if it was safe or not. Any of you guys do this? And does it seem to help?

It’s a forced air furnace in a ice castle and has certain safety devices on it just in case my two buddy’s do it all the time with no problems. When we went to red earlier in the year we turned it on when we hit the access nice and toasty when we got to our spot

We do it all the time. On my last house I had to put a wind shield around my intake to prevent the wind from blowing out the pilot though.
