Where,do you get more of the fuses that are on the positive wire that runs from charger to battery?? Mine is blown. It has a number 2 on top of it this must mean 2 amp. Can I go buy these at menards or fleet farm or do I have to get them from Marcum???

    I don’t have any in-line fuses on my LX-7.

You can get them at any hardware store! Just take it with you and a worker will hook you up!

He’s talking about the charger that has an inline fuse hardwired in.

I don’t have that on mine bought last year.

It looks like a standard ATO/ATC type fuse that you can buy
anywhere. Are you sure it’s not a 5 amp?

I suspect that two amp is the correct size.

It has a no. 2 on top so I should be able to pick on up at fleet farm in auto section. I wonder why my unit has a fuse in it and it seams like nobody else has one in there units??????.Is there a problem with the new units thats why marcum is putting them in?????

You can get them anywhere. And no, no issues. All the units have them now. I have 2 new marcums this year and both have the fuse also.

Its a 2amp. There were 3 or 4 threads about this on IS this year. The consensus was that they added it this year. You might want to call marcum and ask if you can go to a 3amp. 3amp is standard for sonar units, and I’m surprised marcum is still using 2amp after their issues with the showdown’s 2amp fuse blowing. One guy posted that marcum said it was okay to use a 3amp, but I’d call and hear that from the horses mouth first.

If you are going to stay with 2amp, buy a 5pk and keep them handy. ANY hardware store will have 3amp, 2amp MIGHT be hard to find at some stores.. but you’ll be able to find them locally. Its just a plain auto-style fuse like what is in car/boat fuse boxes.
