This weekend i was up in sodak catching walleye and a few perch and was fishing a slender spoon. Needless to say fish comes flying off bottom and smokes the gold slender 1/8 i fight the fish and land it.. The slender spoon was wedged in the fishes mouth with the treble hanging out no hooks in the fish. Strait up and down in the front of his mouth… Fish was only about 13-14 inches.. anyone have something like this happen to them?

I was fishing wilh a pink and black nils master jig #1 on lake thompson all weekend and I noticed that the walleyes had the whole thing swallowed and when unhooking them, all they had to do was open up and the jig would come out. They were very aggerssive this week and I know that they are going to stay that way untill ice out. Sometimes you couldn’t even see them come in on the LX-7!, They would just show up as drag!!!

Slender spoons don’t catch fish only. Vmc spoons work. tired of the sponsorship battles. Last year it was slender spoons this year vmc. They all work.

Not sure how this post has anything to do with the original post…Hes not saying slender spoons are the best
Anyway I have never had that happen, thats the definition of an aggressive fish haha

We had this happening a lot. We iced 40-50 eyes in an hour. Most were 12-14.5 inches of course but it was still fun. I was using the biggest, loudest lures I had with me and they still were relentless. Did get a few bigger… My buddy hooked one 14 incher by the dorsal fin and landed it. It must have slashed at it and missed but got him as he turned. Fun when they are so aggressive

Next year it will be something else, something new. Fishing lures aren’t designed to catch fish, they are designed to catch fisherman. Besides, what the hell else are we going to spend our money on, Scentsy and 31 Bags?

I can’t believe what I just read. That reminds me. Need to get the stink out of the room and turn the Scentsy on.
