Went out in the rain today looking for active perch got a few of those but first whole first drop I got this big girl 4lb line and on a 26in pole needless to say she almost spooled me a time or two but I got her in this is my first laker but next year I will have to give these beautiful powerful fish a try on a side note I think James last show about lakers helped me land her

Thanks everyone it was a wild fight on that little pole never felt myself shake before it was so exhilarating now for the question I was not sure about so I took a few different pictures… how much to get a replica and is it worth it?? and do I have enough photos to get one done and info would be helpful

Dave, I would think you have enough photos as long as the detail is rendered in the image.
I would call Kevin in Beliot and get a quote. I’ve seen a number of his trout/salmon replicas and he does a very nice job. Very detailed work. I’m guessing you’ll be about $400 +/-
BTW, I really like those Geneva lakers. They have a little bit more of an translucent apple green color than most. Pretty looking fish!!!

As I was looking at that, was thinking it was from Geneva, in part because where you mentioned earlier that you like to fish. Is that the case? Good job, there are a number of guys that target them, and wait a long time to catch one.

Hey thanks Randy for the info and I loved seeing her swim by the hole every time in that clear water looked like a shark going for a cruise and Guy It was LG its funny you say that I talked to many people over the years that target them solely for years before they get one this size or one at all for that matter but when I set the hook on the mark that came in as 3 to 4 feet of bars on my lx-5 I knew it could only be one thing lol well that and my drag screaming and my line diapering faster then I have ever seen…. Needless to say I was the happiest I have been catching a fish in a long time

Now just to figure out how to rotate the photo so it dose not look like I’m cuddling with the fish…
