This off seson i want to invest in 2 ice shacks. a one man shack either Frabil recon, Eskimo quick flip one, or clam scout. And a two man flip most likely a nanook. Anyways i have a 32 inch presicion noodle and am planning on getting a presicion and a quick tip all 32 inches. Anyways can this be done inside a shack like these ones?

You’ll learn to keep your rod tip very close to the hole so your hook set doesn’t go into the front door or roof and risk loosing a fish. I removed the seat out of my frabill commando and replaced it with a bench. That way i can sit further back in the sled, giving me more room for my 30″ quicktip rod and other longer rods that i like so much.

BTW, there’s a great rod storage mod in the ice fishing forums from yesterday that will help the fast run’n’gun 1-man flipover fisherman.

The Nanook has adjustable sliding seats so you can move further back to accomodate for a longer rod. I use a 30″ quicktip inside my nanook, works just fine.

Most definitely it will. I have all mine at 32″. Same rods you mentioned and no issues. Like mentioned you just have to sit further back or rod tip closer to the hole.

I used 32″ rods exclusively in my scout, I now have the eskimo wide one and have no issues. you should be fine as long as you keep the tip low.
