I bought a brand new jiffy 10″ 3500 series 3hp auger 3 years ago and hasnt ran good since day one. I always have to have it half choke or it wont even drill a hole and always have to have full throttle to get it to start. Any ideas what to do? Should of returned it the first time i used it but just thought it would break in and run better.

I hear port and polish intake and maybe different carb is a great long term fix. I put premixed gas in mine this year runs great. Anybody want it?

I have 3hp jiffy stx and when i bought it i had a similar case and what the problem was with mine was the lean, rich screw needed tweaking, after that it ran really well

You may possibly have a hairline crack in one of the fuel lines. For some reason your losing vacuum from the tank to the carb. A carb rebuild kit is pretty inexpensive and it wouldn’t hurt to install one. Just a thought …..
