    Hey all,

I finally bought a Marcum LX3 today. Cant wait to get on the ice with it. Any tips, tricks or things to be careful of so I dont accidentally wreck my graph or help with determining junk from fish when I am on the ice?

    Thanks again for the help!

I also just bought a new Marcum LX-3tc just a week ago! When choosing the zoom on it it is adjustable and you are able to choose between 5 and 10 feet of water on the zoom. Also take care of your ducer! Try not to bang it around, new ducers run $60-$80! Make sure you’re fully charged before heading out, that’s how you wreck a day of fishing, your Marcum runs outta juice!

Best of luck fishing! Let me know if you have any other questions about it!

Congrats on your purchase of a LX-3. You will love it as it is very simple to adjust. Play around with the 5 and 10 foot zooms and see which one you like to use best in different depths, weeds, etc. I have used mine for 4 years and see no reason to upgrade to a more expensive locator. Enjoy it!!

Congrats on your purchase, the LX3 is a great unit. It’s pretty simple to get used to running it, I would have to say to take a little time and play with the zoom to really be able to get the most out of your unit.
