Has anyone ever use these in the 1/16 oz for perch?

Yes, but I prefer the Buckshot in 1/16 for perch. I caught perch in Northern MN last weekend with a 1/8 oz slender spoon in silver and green also but had better luck with the Buckshot.

I’ll use a 1/16 oz slender spoon for perch on a tough bite, but only if I have to. They fish really slow, but sometimes the small spoon loaded with spikes is the only bait that will get bit consistently.

They work well on negative perch but fall really slow and almost always tumble way out of the sonar cone; not a good bait for aggressive roaming schools of perch.

Yes, your PN will be fine with the small Tinglers & Slenders.

I prefer the QT over the PN for spoons. But either should work.

    Agreed on that.

The power noodle will work with the very lightest of spoons like the 1/16th oz. Tinglers, etc., but any heavier than that and you’ll want to go with a rod with a faster tip section that can handle the weight of the heavier baits. I’ve found that even the 1/16th spoons are too heavy for my tastes if I need to work the spoons fast and aggressive. In that situation the slow tip of the Noodle is too “sloppy” which hurts my control of the bait.

James, what is the best lure presentation for the Precision Noodle?

I couldn’t agree more James. I noticed this week up on Devils trying to fish a 4mm fiska with a wax tail plastic I couldn’t work it as agressive as the fish wanted with my power noodle I had to go to a slightly stiffer rod to get a good pounding action on the jig that the fish wanted. Now if I could find a blank that fell right in between a QT and a PN that would be AWESOME!!

Try a 30 inch noodle with an inch shaved off the tip section

    Quintenn,

you read my mind. I am actually in the planning stages right now of 3 rods that will range from full on PN to just lighter than a QT by cutting a hair off the tip. This will end up being a summer project however, no chance of getting it done yet this year for the season.

This was my first trip using the PN and I noticed exactly what you where talking about. It worked ok, but was sloppy. Will have to get a QT for 1/16, 1/12 or 1/8 oz.?

You won’t have any issues handling baits in that weight range with the QT and you’ll be able to fish the lures aggressively if that’s what the fish want.
