Once again the IDO gang Fights off mother nature to bring us a great show. James and the gang bring us great sunfish tips from the SD vortex. Looks like the warm weather is on the way. Thank you for the advise on the double clutch, I hope to use that one this week.
Good luck out there and Be SAFE.

Another truck went through the ice in Anoka county this weekend.

I have been watching your shows the past few weeks and really enjoy them. Your LOTW crappie episodes may have inspired us to take a B-Y Baits prostaff trip up there next year.

We were basically doing the same type of sight fishing in 2-3 FOW on Saturday on the Mississippi River. Used the flashers just to know when something was down there, then would peak down the hole and sight fish the rest of the way til you got them to commit. We even saw what you were talking about regarding them first grabbing the tail of the plastic before engulfing it all.

Being a plastics guy, one thing that was bugging me watching this episode that most people wouldn’t even think of because it gets edited out… Don’t you get sick of re-baiting w/ those spikes/waxies after every fish? They showed how you were hooking them w/ two dangling down and one little “nose-tickler” hanging off the back. Seems like a lot of wasted time.

Why not use plastics? If the plastics you tried didn’t work for these picky gills, i know where you can get some that do

Just wondering because it was bugging the crap out of me at home watching.

Very intrigued to see what James has up his proverbial warm weather sleeve for next week… Hmmm???? Ice or NO ice, that is the question??? Got me thinking!!!

I & four friends just returned from the Webster area after 3 days of fishing. Our mornings were spent looking for northerns by jigging while we kept an eye on our tip-ups. Our afternoons were shifted to another lake (we think it was the same lake that James & Quintin showed us last week. We were blessed with better weather, so we moved around from hole to hole, picking off 8-9″ gills on a pretty regular basis. Twice I pulled out 9 fish before having to move on. And as we finished about sunset, Mark Jenzen gave up his honey hole to his sun, who pulled out another half dozen bruisers to finish out his limit before we headed back to the lodge to clean fish & rest our weary arms. We found fish in 5-10′ of water, and while most were near the bottom, many were near the tops of the weeds. Orange, pink, & purple ratso’s, marmooska’s, & gill pills produced equally well. We did find 7 northerns from 4-7 pounds in the 2.5 hours we fished on Monday. (Less northerns on Tuesday, but about the same pile of sunnies– enough to enjoy a feast & still bring home a couple of meals. ) great fishing, great weather, great friends, great trip. Thanks for the tips that magically came the day we were preparing to leave! Keep up the good work!
