My auger now has an extension on it, and i secured it to the top of my Otter sled with tie downs. When I get back home the tent has a hole it in from the auger bouncing into it.. Since this is being pulled with a snowmobile, I now realize I should have taken the extension off, and placed both in the sled in a protective bag. Guess I will learn.

I’d put an auger mount on your snowmobile. Less work and better for your auger.

Good idea, I just got done making one for my ATV, guess I will build something for the snowmobile now.

*My snowmobile hasn’t been used in 5 years, so just getting that thing going was a chore. Mice decided a nest in the airbox was the best place for them.
