I just bought an otter this winter and was looking for an other option to sit on instead of the seats that came with the ice hut. I saw an episode with the guys in their hut but didn’t see any seats. So I was would like to know what they were using to sit on. what do you guys think? thanks lazzer
They were sitting on the edge of the tub. They removed the seats to have more room for stowing all of the camera equipment plus all of the fishing gear.
and the tub didn’t flip?

Do you have the pro style seats with the rail?
If so, you might consider buying 4 sportsman’s caddies and making a bench out of those. 
Otherwise, otter offers a bench and seating that bridges the tubs.
I have a cottage that I just started using a Primos Hunting Double Bull Qs3 folding seat in. It sits with the feet resting in the ribs of the tub pretty well. It allows me to sit fully in the tub if desired. 2 of those might be a decent option for a bigger otter?

well the otter I bought is the lodge. And was looking to be able to sit back a little more. I thought that they couldn’t be sitting on the ledge so I thought I would ask what they were sitting on
You don’t like the comfy seats it comes with? I would go for the bench if I bought one…
they didn’t alfer a bench seat in a full thermal

Just like Icenutz said, edge of the tub.
well the next time I’m out I’ll try just sitting on the edge and see if I fall over
It’s really not so bad… and if the fish are biting, it really keeps you on the edge of your seat!

some black pipe, plywood, foam, 2 barn door hinges and you are in business. pm me and I will fill you in. I sit with my feet inside the tub on a very comfortable seat that I upholstered, very simple to do. I don’t know why otter doesn’t make seats this way, I think they could be making even more money
