I have two lake close by with walleye in them. I’ve never iced for walleye and wondered what structure/depths/points to look for. I’m guessing blade baits/raps would be a good start. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You’re getting to the time where the bite gets a bit tough. Start with the raps and if they’re being aggressive, then great. If not, maybe drop a spoon with a minnow head and have a deadstick rod nearby with a fathead or small shiner. As for location, it really depends on the lake/structure. Look for drops off of points, outsides of sunken islands etc. Just don’t swear it off if you don’t have success this late in the season. Good luck

You can also try deadsticking a lively minnow or shiner this time of year for more finicky fish. Good luck, – QB

I suggest starting out with Buckshot Rattle Spoons and Slender Spoons. Jigging Raps, Blade Baits, and Chubby Darters when fish are active.
