Has anyone been able to find an extension for a strikemaster auger? If so, where? Cabelas, Gander and Strikemaster are currently sold out. My guess is they will be needed soon!

Couldn’t you make one out of a wooden dowel or closet pole? Just kidding, they are a simple design and a metal tab shop could make one fast if its that desperate. Bring them your auger to measure and specify solid stock. Good luck.

GOOD CATCH! I didn’t even see that. I don’t see a power auger one listed on amazon.

Are you finding ice where you need one all ready?

Not needed just yet, but getting VERY close. I’m planning on LOTW at the end of the month and suspect I will need one then.

Late season mille lacs is one place closer to the cities where it gets very close to needing one. Local lakes in central mn typically dont seem to produce that much ice. Think I bought mine years ago for drilling out holes in the big fish house. Other than that cant remember the last time using mine.

LOTWs. Yep, good chance you will need it.

Saw it advertised on the fleet farm ad on here earlier today in the ice fishing section.I do not know if it is the hand or power one though.

If you can’t find an extension just drill as far as you can and use a spud for the last couple inches.

If anyone near Stillwater needs an extension PM me, I’ve got a few extra I don’t need. 12″ and 16″.

Guys heading to Lake Winnipeg in March better prepare to have at least a 20″ extension or buy 2. Locals are talking 4′ of ice plus the snow on top. That is going to be a lot of work being mobile.

Yep, just got the clam one from reeds. It’s the same extension. They said they just bought a bunch more and have sold a hundred of them in the last week alone.

Blue Ribbon and Joes Sporting have auger extensions in stock in limited supply. Call to check before you head out to buy.
