With the weird wacky and mostly cold weather moving through the ice belt the otter is getting a workout. I have talked about this before and it might seem redundant but it makes sense. My roommate cody and myself have been waiting out walleyes on structure during prime bite periods with varied success and a few good quality eyes. Best baits have been rattle spoons in 1/8 size in red or orange with a minnow head for bait. 4lb suffix ice braid with a 8lb floro leader to the lure. More pictures to follow but cramped for time at the moment. Keep warm fellas – QB

Sometimes that’s all you can do when hole hopping really isn’t feasible!!
I hate waiting them out…But negative temperatures have your holes freezing over pretty darn fast!!

Don’t forget to pre-fish the slough tigers in a few weeks.

Great looking fish and reminder that just because its cold you can still be successful while staying warm inside the Otter.
