Im looking to upgrade my ice rods to TUCR. I fish half in shack and half hole hopping. I want to start out getting a 30 inch percision noddle. The question i have is to get a slit handle or not???? or should I get a new EVA handle.

My next one will have the eva handle to keep down on weight.

I was thinking to eventually order a couple of rods but just haven’t had much time to do the research to decide which rods are best for me.

Best investment I have made and I love the two I purchased, John was very helpful in finding the right rods for me based on my fishing.

I picked up two 32″ one split grip and one Eva grip you can’t go wronge with either one. If you like to see and feel the bit then you will love the split grip. If your looking to save on weight and durability the Eva handle is the grip for you. Instead of a 30″ I would go with the 32″ !!!! You will love the back bone in these rods to go alone with the sensitivity in the tip.

I love the split grip for sensitivity. Noodle is great for sight fishing and the QT for feel. The QT has a nice soft tip with a very healthy backbone. Very pleased with both rods for different situations. Each one has their place. I also have a deadstick by TUCR and really like the action. I own 30″ sticks, havn’t fished with anything longer.

Its all personal preference I love using my split grip but a lot depends on how you hold the rod as to whether the split is for you or if you should go with a solid handle. I have seen split EVA also so you could go that route too if you wanted. What ever you decide you will love the rod!!
