L.O.W. & LX-9

I am going on my annual L.O.W. outing with a group
of friends 1/30 & 1/31. We always go out of Sportsman and
fish 30 to 33′ of water. Was wondering if it is worth taking the camera or is the water just to stained to use. I know a couple of them this is the only time that they fish for the year. I thought it would be cool for them to see how the underwater camera worked.
    Any insight is greatly appreciated.

I’d leave the camera accessory at home next to your auger extension.

That’s the great thing about the LX-9, if it’s to murky for the camera you always have the flasher.

Leave camera at home, we were at sportsmans in 23ft and 30 ft 2 weeks ago and could not see anything…Ask for lil Jon or Troy as your guides

Just got back from LOTW. During a lull in the action (which there were many) I dropped the camera from my LX-9 down the hole just to see if it would work there, I think we were in 30′ at the time. To my surprise with the camera light on you could actually see pretty well. I’m guessing you could see about 3′ max. The saugers must have been attracted to the light as you could see there eyes lit up as they approached. Saw quite a few fish on the camera but none bit .

    Might be an inside joke.

Castle rock lake/flowage, complete snow cover, stained water. I was able with my lx9 to see 7 feet with ambient light. At 25 feet I hit the LEDs and could see 2-3 feet and immediately spooked a walleye.

    Thanks Carguy!
I will ask for them. What was the hot jewelry you had luck with? Stop signs, Slender spoons, VMC’s ( I haven’t tried them at L.O.W. yet). I think I have them all. Any luck dead sticking? I know things chance daily/hourly.
