Had a pretty successful trip on LOTW this weekend. Had to definitely work for them but the ones we caught were nice. Dead sticks were basically non existent with all of our fish coming on the jigging rods. Seems like everytime we are up there, there is high pressure, it’s sunny, and bitterly cold. Finally, on Saturday,it started snowing and there was a white out on the ice, and the big fish moved in. Also, if you go up there by Pine Island, do not drive off the plowed roads as you will get stuck. Some drifts are up to 4 + feet. We were using the new pink stop signs with the gold glitter on the back. You can buy them in Baudette at the bait shop near the Baudette Motel. I used the Tingler spoon a little bit, but nothing came close to the pink stop sign. Emerald shiners are back as well this year. If you head up there, be safe and good luck!
