pool 13 perch

After weeks of chasing crappie I decided this morning to go after perch on the river.
I started at my normal perch spot and picked up some 9″-10″ fish. It was very slow, one fish every 45 min. I decided to go look for something else. I found some small crappie and gills. I saw a few perch but no takers. 5 min before I had to go meet the wife and kids for lunch. I see a school of big perch there are 8 fish and I pull one out of it. It ended up being my biggest perch. Just mad I had to leave after that

That’ll make a nice sandwich there

Nice fish! I always like hearing about the bite down there. I was really hoping to make it down this winter and fish some of the back water on pools 13 and 14 but winter is flying by a bit fast right now, and not looking like its going to happen. Good luck getting back on those perch!

Thanks for sharing the report. I would like to eventually learn that section of the river. Someday I’ll take a ride and try to figure that place out. Usually see your reports on another site.
