lazer Mag solo issues!

    Anyone else do a carb kit on there solo.
    Pretty easy mine had a bad diaphragm
    So I changed that and the other gaskets and the needle.
    Runs like new again.

    Nothing to do with the engine. Stay away from ethanol… have never ran a drop of ethanol in mine and it runs like a top… sounds like a common issue in boat motors as well… lOo

    I’m on my 3rd year with my solo and it runs as good as the day I bought it.

    Im sure there are some good ones out there, but seems that there are issues brought up on sites like this on a weekly basis with them. Still better than a Jiffy I guess…

    Did you buy your parts directly from Strikemaster?

    I’ve been using the VP Fuels 40:1 Premix from Home Depot and I can say my auger has been running a hell of a lot better! The Ethanol additive makes any motor run like crap ….

    It was because of the gas forsure i switched using the non-oxygenated gas runs great.
    But i think there venting system could use alittle work or some other design.sucks when you have to loosen the gas cap to vent.
    Other than that they rip thru the ice.

    Coincidence? Out this morning with my buddy. He drills 12 holes and all the sudden…nothing! Motor runs and revs, but does not engage or spin! Guess what he has???
