Jiffy blade sharpening

Can a guy sharpen the blades on a Jiffy stx 3 blade? I got some use out of them still on orignal ones. thanks

I know jiffy makes a sharpener. It’s a pretty long thing you just lay flat on the table and run your blades through. It’s supposed to be made to give you the perfect angle to sharpen your blade and not cut yourself. Jiffy on ice onYoutube shows how to use it.

I take a flat file and run over them till its nice and sharp..i got them so sharp that the auger will bogg down if i push down to hard cause its trying to bite so much ice off. make sure the point in the middle is somewhat sharp also.

I have always sharpened my Jiffy blades on a stone just like a knife. I finally bought a replacement pair for my STX after 8 seasons. Easily could have repaired the original with proper equipment.

That reminds me, I got some sharpening to do before tomorrow.
