Sunday Funday

Sunday proved to be a very cold morning out there on the hard deck. My face got wind burned, eyes wanted to freeze shut (even in goggles). It was a darned cold ride out there.

I fished from the comfort of the shack and Mr. Heater rocking wide open. This really limited our ability to move and stay on top of fast moving schools. We really just had to wait them out. As far as productivity goes, I wanted to yank my hair out. My ADD does not allow me to sit in the shack easily, but what else do you do?

Old man winter is taking it to us this year boys. Better order up those extensions while they are still available. I have a feeling we’ll need ’em… Maybe soon.

I was going to post this last night but my phone was dead. A day late is better than never. Stay warm and safe fellas.

    Andy,

Haha…I’m beginning to think you just drag those two perch around snapping photo’s like the pink flamingo photos that show them sitting on a beach, overlooking the grand canyon, sitting on the Eiffel tower, etc. Nice perch…Again.

Anyway, what is the ice thickness up north. We’re roughly 24″-27″ on Thompson. Probably thicker after the last two days. Already dug through the hunting cabinet looking for the extension.

If you give anyone even a hint of where you are pulling those trophies- she will disappear. Don’t tell anyone- just pm me where to meet you!

That made me laugh (wife gave me a funny look). After looking back at some of my pics, I can see where you would wonder that.

The reason there isn’t pics of more than one or two is that I’m not catching lots of fish. A lot of times, I’m fishing for a couple good bites in an entire day. Literally, a couple bites.

    War Eagle!!

    EDIT: Darn, Florida St won.

You sure know how to hurt a guy, I really need to get out there on the hardwater this year. We go out every year the end of Sept. or beginning of Oct. and have a blast with those pigs.

My GF and I are thinking of a trip in 2 weeks, would a person need to bring a sled or can you drive out on most places with a 4X4 truck. In the past we have fished the Waubay area.
