mille lacs ice conditions?

    does anybody have a ice condition update from the prison(mille lacs)specifically the garrison area?

    A good friend was over there yesterday. Still zero activity and Kerry at Garrison Sports says slush is still the problem.

    Buddy of mine was up near Garrison this past weekend. Nothing but small perch. He walked out and said the ice was fine where they were, no slush.

    Was on the SW corner saturday helping work on a resort road and ice varried from 9″ to 20″. 20″ areas had 6″+ of it being re-freeze. Some areas has 8-10″ of light snow with slush then 12-14″ ice and other areas had 2-4″ frozen crust then 2-4″ of water then 8-10″ of ice under.

    Lot of different conditions out there making for quick trouble with a vehicle or atv if your not paying attention. Be careful!

    thanks guys… plan on walking out of garrison and hunting around pikes point area
