I’ve always done well with a glow ratso for jigging and demon jigs on a dead stick with a crappie minnow. charge them up good before you drop them down.

Glow works the best. Although I have never caught a lot of crappies at night. But the ones I have got to bite were all on glow.

Sometimes they like when the glow jigs are almost done glowing so they are not too bright. Try different color glows and lures let them tell u what they want. Waxies or minnows, don’t rule out black either. If they are active I like small slender spoons with glow, or the bigger Cecil with glow eye and waxies. Last week diamond jigs with red glow and glow plastics were the ticket. Just small constant wiggle is all they wanted once you got there attention.

I use a lot of glow too.

Totally obvious stuff here, but I like to dangle a lively minnow a few feet above the school, or at times a couple of feet under the ice. You might not get any fish on them, but you’ll possibly get a few crappie that move up to see what’s going on – these fish are typically easy to pick off with your jig stick.

Glow nuggies on a horizontal glow brite jig is my fav I used to fish a bridge in northern Wisconsin all the time, there was only a couple other guys that fished it usually did best 10-12 but now it’s a zoo so I’ve been going 12-3 after the fudds get tired and leave, always seems like the holes illuminated by the lights under the bridge produce best also done very well on bear lake in Haugen by drilling a handful of holes and shining a maglight down the center hole, easy to make a stand out of a coat hanger, night fishing is a great way to catch heavily pressured crappies and hopefully avoid having to deal with other anglers

Glow jigs, or Tip Downs with a crappie minnow works great.
