Just want to let marcum know of my positive experience with them this morning. Brought in my LX-7 for what I thought was a bad transducer which it ended up being. They fixed it while I waited and also replaced the power cord to the current model and put on a new snow shield all without a bill. Customer for life here. Job well done guys.

I bought my first Marcum product last ice season which was the 6″ color underwater camera. In the first week the screen would go blank. Knowing that I had a full charge I did some moving of the camera cable and found an open in the cord, or so I thought. It turned out to be the connector to the screen. I sent it back to Marcum to get fixed twice because the first time it didn’t get fixed the first time. Not a great first time experience for me. It’s a great tool to have when surching for fish so I felt like I was missing an esential tool when it was in repair. I’m sure that doesn’t happen often though.

Classy. Talk bad about a company and sponsor on a thread praising their excellent customer service. What a nice guy!

Awesome to hear. I called Marcum last week with a problem on my Marcum VS825SD Camera purchased Dec 2011. Without hesitation they told me send the unit down, they would get it all fixed up under warranty.

Their great service is why I bought my Marcum Vs their competition. If something should ever go wrong I know they stand by it and they are local.

LOL, that’s what I was going to say.

A Vexilar fisherman walks into a bar.

His friend stayed out fishing with his Marcum.

I purchased the Lx7the first year they came out with it. After the second time I used it, the unit wouldn’t turn on. I called them on a Tuesday and told them I was going on a trip Friday. They took my name n address and sent me a new head unit on my door Thursday, BEFORE I sent them mine. They included a return slip in it n told me to just send the old one when my new one got there!
Maybe the greatest CS I’ve ever had.

white80a You took that comment out of context! That comment was directly about life1978 His name on here ends = 1978 and his post # at the time he responded to you was 1978. Just a coincidence….

He wasn’t talking about your post count or replying to you. He was referring to “Life1978” who at the time also had 1978 posts. One of those cool occurrence type things that only gets to happen once so Pug pointed it out.

I didn’t point it out originally. In fact, my reply was going for something else.

Life said local and I thought, “Local? You are in Eau Claire”.

Kind of like me watching the previous weeks DVRed episode of IDO and thinking it was a repeat because of the holidays.

But Pug, don’t you need everything repeated at least once?

Had a similiar experience with Marcum’s great customer service last month. My VX-1 crapped out shortly before a trip to LOTW. Marcum went above and beyond in fixing it. Those guys rock.

You guys are killing me. I sent in my 7 for the upgrade to a 9 and have been without it for several days now. I just want it back so I can put it in demo mode and curl up with it in bed while its minus 100 degrees outside. I think they call it separation anxiety…not to be confused with target separation…call me sensative, not to be confused with sensativety. And don’t interfere with my feelings, not to be confused with IR. I could go on, but you get my drift…not to be confused with…

I am having some issues with my 7 right now but I’m not sure I can go without it while they fix it. Even with the minor problems I don’t want to fish without it.

I normally do when BK pms me. He’s message me and my response 9 times out of 10 is what are you talking about. And sometimes I need to repeat my own words before I understand them.

I can relate to that. Had my 9 hooked up to the 60″ yesterday watching vids in the rec room from a few lakes last summer. Just love how easy this is to use

No worries. For all their positives internet forums are definitely imperfect means of communication given how easy it is to misunderstand someone’s intent or true meaning.
