Lets hear em. What are your goals in the 2014 season ice, or open water that you will attempt to fulfill?

Mine is to fish an area on a Lake Superior that i never been to before, and in fact very few have ever fished it. I’m pretty sure i have the logistics figured out and am absolutely stoked to make it happen!

I currently log days and lakes. Made my goal this year to continue fishing over 110 days each year. Not setting a higher bar next year, but do plan to beat it again.

Next year i’m going to log fish caught & hours fished, as well as number of days and on which lakes.

Would be great to beat some PB’s of mine, the ones i will be striving to beat by priority:

    Flathead, 47″x29″ ~ 51#
    Sturgeon, 61″x21″
    Channel Cat, 30″
    Northern, 38″
    Walleye 27.5″x14.5″
    Perch, 13″
    Crappie 15″

I want to get my 3 girls on the water more this year. Years past they are at +- 12 days. Would like that number higher.

My 11 year old caught her first walleye this summer at 18 inches. She still talks about it with a huge smile.

My oldest is 16, I want her to fillet her own fish this year. Wish me luck!

    Fish more… Work less.
    My 2014 goals are to
make it to Erie mid-late April
make my reservations (soon) for a minimum of 5 nights at Sunset Lodge, Oak Island LOTW in June
Take someone that is less fortunate and doesn’t get to fish as much out for a free day on the water.
Get back to Rainy in Sept and if the Gods permit, back to LOTW’s for a season ender in early October.
Really not asking for much… I don’t think

Same here. Get the kids fishing more and myself. This year was work, work, work, hopefully next summer I can enjoy it more with the family fishing.

This year I’d like to see:

My oldest Grandson catch a few Bluegills with a fly rod.
My Daughter (Sharon on IDO) nail a big Walleye on Pool 2.
I’d like to land a big King Salmon with my Switch rod.
Oh, and get into the White Bass on Pool 4 with BK.

Other than that, any day out fishing will be just fine.

I’d like to nail some bluegills off our dock with our two-year-old and have a fish fry (think he’s too young to learn to fillet?). Other than that, with a two-year old and a one-month old, I’m just going to enjoy as much time with them as possible and cherish any time on the water that I can get.

2 goals for next year. 1) Get out more (infant son this year cut down fishing time big time this year, think I got out 10 days all year). #2, get my now toddler son out with me next summer. Just need to convince mom on the second one. If he likes being on the lake half as much as he likes bath time it shouldn’t be a problem.

Since I’m still in school, I’d just like to take as much time as I can now to fish and to improve. Also I’d like to fish more species with a more articulated plan and get results!
