Hinckley lakes

Headed up to Hinckley to take some classes mid January. Can anyone point in the direction of some good lakes up that way to try for walleye and panfish? Or good bait shops up in that neck of the woods. Thanks in advance

The problem with that area is the serious LACK of lakes.

Grindstone is about the closest and best option, but that’s a trout lake so the fishing is different. The good news is that you can access the lake on the south end where the blacktop runs right against the lake. Save a long walk through deep snow.
