well I went ice fishing on sat 28th with Randy rowell and charley on a small lake in the area I hit the ice about 6;30 Randy to come out a little after the bite was slow .hard to believe we were fishing in 40 degrees and temps were going to drop in the tank on Sunday.I got up a little late around 6:30 expecting it to be -15 olny to find it 28 so I got ready and went to a community spot on pool 8 of the Mississippi. When I got there the wind was blowing out of the North making it feel cold so I drilled a few holes and fired up the Marcum found some find critters lurking in 22 ft of water set up the clam and turned on the heater. set out to put together a fry but the critters weren’t to interested in playing picked up a few then moved about 100 to 150 yards drilled some more holes and found more find critters they didn’t want to play either but I managed to put together a fry . the bight was so light the St Cory spring bober was the ticket to detecting the bight.
